Today if you ingest data into an entity you and it is doesn't exist, it will be created with the data you ingested. This FR suggests a flag / configuration for telling Port to not create the entity if it doesn't exist. Super useful for places where we want to "enrich" the entity, but only if the base of it exists.

This can be done using the "Map by property" feature: https://docs.getport.io/build-your-software-catalog/customize-integrations/configure-mapping#map-by-property
When used, the integration will attempt to update the entity only if it already exists in the catalog, and will not create a new one if the search query does not return any entity.
