Users currently cannot edit a message after sending it. This creates friction in two situations: the message was sent prematurely (before finishing the prompt), or the AI response wasn't useful and the user wants to rephrase rather than start a new thread.

Expected behavior:

A sent message can be edited inline, triggering a new AI response from that point in the thread.

Optionally, prior responses below the edited message are cleared or marked as stale.

Why it matters:

This is standard UX in AI chat products (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini). Without it, users either append follow-up messages that add noise to the thread, or abandon the conversation and start over.
