Support for service accounts
complete
Guillaume Hanique
Introduce support for service accounts within Port to enable automated, non-human access to the platform for integration, automation, and management purposes. This feature would allow systems and services to interact with Port directly, facilitating seamless workflows and enhancing operational efficiency.

Hey Guillaume Hanique Etienne Jacquot, we just released the ability to create service accounts with our existing users RBAC mechanism.
It is explained in the docs here - https://docs.getport.io/sso-rbac/rbac/#service-accounts.
Notice it requires having User and Team as blueprints feature enabled. You can find a guide to what is it and how you can enable it here -
If there are any feedbacks don't hesitate reaching us out.

Itamar Smirra any ETA on users and teams coming out of beta?
Gur Shafriri
Scott Munro We are working on it as we speak as we get lots of great feedback. Did you enable it yourself?
The plan is to GA in Q4, but in current plan it will introduce breaking changes for some scenarios - so might still require opting-in.

Port bots ("machine" type users)

Create a User of type "machine" to create programmatic interactions with Port API on behalf of bots that are part of teams and have the same RBAC granularity as any other user.

We are now working on this feature, enabling creating service accounts that have the same permission model as any other user, including relating them to team.

I would like to add the ability, on this feature, to scope the usage of each service account (read only on integration, read/write on blueprints, ...)
